Members of RAB-4 have arrested Md Saheb Ali (34) and his wife Jasmine Khatun (25) on charges of raping a teenage girl in Savar with his wife. A two-year-old child named Jhorna Akhter has also been rescued.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Sagar Deepa Biswas confirmed the arrest at around 12pm on Sunday.
Earlier, on Saturday (January 25), an alert group of RAB-4 was arrested by the operation of a group of RAB-4 in the Bank Colony area of Savar police station. The arrested couple are Md Saheb Ali and his wife Jasmine Khatun, son of Ali Hossain of Purdanpur village of Maheshpur police station of Jhenaidah district. The rescued baby shower was the daughter of Jasmine Khatun's brother Md. Rubel.
According to RAB-4 sources, a couple from Sahib Ali brought a victim from Sylhet to Savar for their children to study. Later, the victim's older sister Jasmine Khatun collaborates with her husband by regularly administering sleeping drugs and later threatening to kill her sister. The victim, who was once a victim, informed her parents. The teenager's parents later took him to Sylhet.
Shortly after, the couple's two-year-old son's brother's brother was abducted from Sylhet on December 20 and arrested in the cell and beaten. On Saturday afternoon, the child was rescued and the couple were arrested in a raid in Savar's Bank Colony area.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (RAB-4) Sagar Deepa Biswas said there was a case at Savar police station. The victim's older brother, Rubel himself, filed the case in the name of two of them. We handed over the accused to the police station. The legal system is in process.
RAB-1 captain Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter and said that the accused had been brought under the law by conducting the operation within 2 hours of receiving the written complaint.
