Annie Akhter Bandhan (1), a schoolgirl, committed suicide by hanging her neck. Annie Sripur was a ninth grade student at Pilot Girls High School.
The student committed suicide at his home on Tuesday night. Police recovered her body on Wednesday morning. The daughter of Abdul Mannan of South Para village of Burman union of Ani upazila.
Sripur Police Station Sub-Inspector Abdul Malek said that he had committed suicide by hanging on the door of a house on Tuesday night.
The mother of the student lives in exile. He added that initially it was believed that the girl opted for suicide due to family problems. The dead body was recovered and sent to Gazipur martyr Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
